Laughing Cactus Press is based in West Texas and our logo pays respects to this region; however, books for this imprint need not have a western flavor and western-themed books have no inside track for selection. Our criteria are excellent writing and work that appeals to our admittedly subjective tastes. We have no "market research department," so we choose projects that we think our friends and family will want to buy.

publishes fiction and poetry. If you wish to propose a publishing project, please carefully describe it in an email (not over 1000 words.) We have a number of projects planned and limited time, but we will consider your requests. DO NOT SEND MANUSCRIPTS either by email or to our mailing address unless requested.
